Quieter Day At The Idaho House

After a busy week of lengthy hearings on Obamacare and Indian Tribes, introducing new bills, plus trying to tune into the Senate hearings on Superintendent Luna’s Education bills, it is a relatively quiet Friday. The House met on the floor for about 45 minutes and voted on a few technical change bills. Most committees are not meeting today, and out of town legislators are headed home. I will have some time to catch up on e-mails and reading bills. Many do not realize that in Idaho the legislators do not have personal secretaries. We have to take care of responding to all letters, emails and phone messages, so it becomes a challenge keep up with doing the actual legislative work, and communicating with constituents. Being able to put out a quick post through chum.ly certainly helps.
