From Law Making To Lawn Mowing

This morning in the Idaho House we passed a 1.5 billion dollar K-12 education budget. At lunch we watched snow flurries. Early this afternoon I successfully presented one of the last bills, a revision to our daycare licensing law to correct staff:child ratio issue. The House adjourned "sine die" at about 2:30. By this evening the weather had cleared enough for me to start up the mower and give our lawn the initial spring trim. It was a great to be out: peaceful and relaxing. The legislative session is already fading to a hazy memory.
